Best-selling and classic titles available anytime, anywhere

(RICHMOND, INDIANA) – November 30, 2011 – Morrisson-Reeves Library is expanding its services with audiobooks, eBooks, music, and video, available to download from the library’s website. Library card holders can check out and download digital media anytime, anywhere by visiting the library's website at http://www.mrlinfo.org.

Users may browse the library’s website, check out with a valid library card, and download to PC, Mac®, and many mobile devices. Users will need to install free software. For audiobooks, music, and video: OverDrive® Media Console™. To read eBooks, users will need Adobe® Digital Editions. Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPod®, Sony® Reader™, and many others. Some audio titles can also be burned to CD to listen on-the-go. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees!

“You might want to put an e-reader or MP3 player on your holiday wish list,“ says Jenie Lahmann, PR coordinator at MRL. “It is easy to use the service and best of all its free to use it with your library card. Also, no late fines for items you download.”

This new service, powered by OverDrive, is free for patrons with their library card. To get started downloading audiobooks, eBooks, and more visit the library’s website at mrlinfo.org or our mobile website at mrlinfo.org/mobile or click on the icon in the top left corner of the MRL website.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Overdrive

Do I need a valid library card to checkout / download materials?
Yes. Your library card needs to be in good standing. If you need a library card, stop by the library and sign-up. It only takes a few minutes. They will issue you a library card and assign a PIN to you. Both items are needed to download materials. Here's the details for getting a card.

I forgot my PIN. How do I find out what it is?
Come into the Library and ask for assistance at the Adult Circulation Services Desk. For the security of your account, we cannot assign PINs over the phone.

Is my PIN for my library account the same one I can use for downloading materials?
Yes. It's the same number.

What devices does Overdrive support?
